Literature Text

One particular day, I visited a very strange place full of very strange people. There I was asked three questions.
Why did you come here today?
It seems like such a simple question, however at that place it is anything but. There's a secret behind the question only those who learn its answer know.
It took awhile, but I finally realized why I went to that place to begin with.
Have you ever felt there was more to this world than what you see?
Like it did for so many others, this question started my journey. The world I was satisfied with up until that point suddenly felt so empty. When I decided to search for answers to fill it, I found out just how large the world really was and how small the part I used to think was its sum really turned out to be. I dove headfirst into this new world with such fervor that it wasn't until I was too far into my adventure that the other question they asked finally hit home.
Have you ever made a mistake that changed everything?
It all came together just a while ago; too late to stop the dominos from falling, and the way things are going I might lose everything within the hour if I can't stop it. For the hundredth time since I first started to doubt, I wonder if it was a mistake to get involved. I shake away the thought, knowing full well that I was going to anyways. I'm stubborn like that. So if that's the case, the only important thing is how I see this through.
I have to start tackling some of the more immediate problems. My first priority should probably be taking care of that fire. Then I should work getting out of this room. Next step, get in touch with my experts so we can put this all to rest before midnight comes around.
Which means I really need to find out how to move my body again so I can stop lying here in a pool of my own blood.
Oh, and a bandage might be nice too.
Here's the intro to Lost Causes, the first of hopefully many DIS storylines.

So a couple of things to note:

I decided to make DIS be about its "customers" rather than any of its employees, as they turned out to be more interesting to write, in part because they would face more danger (even those who aren't human).

I'm putting this in medias res because I felt the first time I wrote the script (last semester), that I got too excited and jumped into things too soon. Therefore, I want to lay some groundwork before the mystery really opens up.

I'm not revealing who this person is of the cast, how bad their situation is, or if they'll still be alive by the time the story catches up. Hope for the best or that it isn't one of the characters you like. *grin*

My plan is to try to work at getting at least a chapter (6 or so pages each) of either this, Window to the Soul, Remnant, Supermess, or something else out at least once a week if not more when I can. I want to try to get a rhythm going so I can actually write out and post the ending of one of these.

Lastly, while I know it's easier for reading when I post links at the bottom of the work, I'm going to just start making a journal for each series with links to the chapters included and chain them together once I've finished the work. I might link to the first chapter and then link that to the journal, but no more "Next" or "Previous" buttons for now.

I'm going to be a total hypocrite and tell you that you need to POST MORE! (cause I don't post enough myself, lol XD)
